Most of the time, I have roughly 6 minutes with the homeless dogs to make them look awesome and help save their life. The conditions for photographing are not ideal but the animals love the time outside the kennel getting to stretch their legs.
There are a few rescue groups I photograph for where the animals are not subject to euthanasia. For these photo sessions there is much more time to relax, enjoy, and really get to know the animals.
Hopefully for all the animals in this collection, you can see their souls pouring through in these photos. I give the resulting photos to the city shelters, local rescue groups, and receiving out of state rescue groups to upload to their petfinder, petharbor, and self-managed sites.
